LA Caldwell, M.Ed.

Our Founder’s Story

Our founder, LA Caldwell, M.Ed., began her career as an educator teaching computer science courses at the University of Central Florida. After moving to Georgia, she transitioned to teaching middle and high school mathematics. She created innovative summer learning programs and pioneered a course to accelerate student learning at a top rated public high school. But what she is most proud of are the soccer games, Irish dancing competitions, and street rap battles she attended to watch her students doing what they were most proud of.

Outside the classroom, LA programed websites for various companies, streamlined workflows for greater efficiency, and helped create unique learning experiences for adult learners.

In 2015, LA shifted her focus from the classroom to workforce development and creating inclusive workplaces. She created and facilitated various trainings focused on developing an inclusive workplace through increased cultural competency.

Throughout her career, LA understood the importance of enabling conditions. For both students and adults that meant creating an environment of trust and psychological safety where learning and innovation were possible. There could be a variety of factors that need to be addressed to create the enabling conditions, but once they were, LA watched people thrive and be successful. She founded Enabling Conditions in 2024 because she understood her greatest joy came from helping others create the Enabling Conditions for their success through training and education.

Always a learner herself, LA completed Cornell’s Diversity and Inclusion Certificate Program as well as Harvard Professional Development Programs’ Consultant’s Toolkit Certification. She is also a certified Intercultural Development Inventory Qualified Administrator. She is currently pursuing a doctorate in Adult Learning & Education.

LA is an avid board gamer, a voracious (fountain pen) writer, and can be found at Dragon Con each Labor Day weekend!
